In 1958, twelve faculty members resigned in protest over the firing of Harry Crowe, Professor of History at United College (a predecessor institution of the University of Winnipeg). This was a defining moment for academic freedom in Canada.
Were you one of those who resigned? Or were you one of their family members? The Crowe Affair Oral History Project is interested in interviewing you about your family’s stories about the experience.
